Tobii Dynavox AB proposes parent company name change

The Board of Directors of Tobii Dynavox AB (publ) proposes to change the name of the Swedish legal entity listed on Nasdaq Stockholm to Dynavox Group AB. The name change is subject to a resolution at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 3, 2024, and was published in the notice convening the AGM earlier today.

The proposed change aims to clarify for the investor community and for new talent in Sweden that the company is separate from Tobii AB. The two companies, Tobii Dynavox AB and Tobii AB, were legally separated in a listing process in December 2021.The change does not in any way influence the close and successful collaboration between the companies related to the supply of eye tracking components for communication aids.

“I think it is important to eliminate any confusion between the companies and make it clear for investors and new talent who we are. This will help us create more value, both for our owners and for our customers. As we continue to grow, we will be able to help more people with disabilities to get a voice and do what they once did or never thought possible,” said Fredrik Ruben, CEO of Tobii Dynavox.

The name change only concerns the group parent company. The group’s customer facing activities will remain unchanged under the current commercial brands including “Tobii Dynavox” (communication aids), “Acapela group” (synthetic voice solutions) and “Rehadapt” (mounting solutions).

If the AGM approves the amendment to the Articles of Association on May 3, 2024, the implementation of the new name and any change to the company’s stock ticker on Nasdaq Stockholm will be communicated separately in due course.
